Emma McGuinness BSc (Hons) Assoc. CIAT – Architectural Technician

Emma McGuinnessEmma started her career in the housing sector as an Administrative Officer. Having worked in the Technical Department at Fife Housing Association for 9 years she gained experience undertaking the general administration of the annual maintenance contracts for over 2000 properties.

It was here she was given the chance to attend college part time to complete a HNC in Architectural Technology and become more involved in new build projects. She decided to continue her professional development and started a full-time university course in the same subject at Napier which was completed in 2014.

In her final year of study she began working part time with DM Hall Surveyors, followed by a full time post after her graduation, carrying out drawings for building warrants and planning permissions for small residential extensions, alterations and conversions. In March of this year she joined Andrew Allan Architecture and has been continuing to gain experience and expanding her knowledge working on larger projects.

In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit, cooking and travelling abroad to destinations such as New York, Kenya, Brazil and Thailand.
